Aluminium Air Hose Bundle Kit - Type 1 Engines

Upgrade and freshen up your Type 1 air-cooled engine bay with this aluminium air hose bundle kit, a durable and long-lasting alternative to traditional cardboard heater hoses.

This kit connects the fan shroud to the heat exchangers, allowing cooling air from the engine fan to be forced down through the hoses and into the heat exchangers. As exhaust heat warms the exchangers, the air is then directed through the heater channels and into the cabin, providing effective heating and windscreen demisting.

Aluminium hoses offer improved resistance to heat, moisture and engine bay contamination compared to cardboard hoses, making them ideal for daily drivers, touring vehicles, or upgraded engine bays. Combined with rubber grommets and stainless steel clips, this kit ensures a secure, airtight connection, maximising airflow and heater efficiency while giving a cleaner, more robust finish.

The 1000mm aluminium hose is cut in half to create two correct-length hoses, suitable for both left and right sides.

Kit Contents

• 1 × 1000mm aluminium air hose (to be cut in half)

• 2 × air hose grommets

• 4 × stainless steel hose clips

Installation Notes

• For use on Type 1 engines fitted with heater boxes

• Always inspect fan shroud outlets, engine tinware and heater box inlets before installation

• Replacing both sides at the same time is strongly recommended
