This 210 mm clutch kit with 24-tooth spline is a complete replacement solution for a wide range of classic and early water-cooled Volkswagen petrol and diesel models. Supplied with the clutch pressure plate, friction disc, and release plate (release bearing), this kit provides everything required for a proper clutch overhaul when the gearbox is removed.

The clutch system allows the engine to be smoothly connected and disconnected from the gearbox. When the clutch pedal is released, the pressure plate clamps the friction disc against the flywheel, transmitting engine power to the drivetrain. Depressing the pedal operates the release bearing, relieving clamping force so gears can be changed smoothly.

Over time, clutch components wear due to heat, mileage, and driving conditions. Common symptoms include clutch slip, judder, noise when pressing the pedal, or difficulty selecting gears.
