T25 Exhaust Fitting Kit - Waterboxer Engines

This exhaust fitting kit is a complete hardware solution for refitting or replacing the exhaust system on Volkswagen Type 25 / T3 models fitted with 1.9 and 2.1 Waterboxer engines. It contains all the essential gaskets, nuts and bolts required to correctly mount the exhaust manifolds, silencer and tailpipe, ensuring a secure, gas-tight installation.

Over time, exhaust fasteners are exposed to extreme heat cycles, moisture and road grime, which causes corrosion, seized fixings and exhaust leaks. When fitting a new exhaust, reusing old hardware often leads to poor sealing, snapped studs or premature failure. This kit eliminates those issues by providing all the correct components in one package, matched to Waterboxer exhaust layouts.

The gaskets ensure a proper seal between exhaust joints, preventing leaks that can reduce engine efficiency, increase noise, and allow fumes to escape. The supplied nuts and bolts are sized specifically for the original exhaust system, allowing correct clamping force and alignment across the full system, including the tailpipe connection.

How it works

Each gasket is designed to compress evenly between mating exhaust surfaces, compensating for heat expansion and vibration.
