Type 25 Exhaust Cast Elbow - 1986-92 - Waterboxer (DF, DG, DJ Engines)

This replacement standard exhaust elbow is used on Volkswagen Type 25 / T3 buses manufactured from 1986 to 1992, fitted with 1900cc DF, DG or SP and 2100cc DJ or SR Waterboxer petrol engines, including 2WD and Syncro models.

The exhaust elbow forms a key connecting section within the exhaust system, allowing the exhaust to change direction smoothly between adjoining components. Correct shape and alignment at this point are essential to maintain proper exhaust flow, reduce stress on adjoining pipes, and ensure correct fitment throughout the system.

Manufactured as a cast iron replacement, this elbow is ideal for replacing corroded, cracked, or damaged original components. It is formed to match the factory exhaust layout used on late Waterboxer models and aligns correctly with the surrounding exhaust parts for straightforward installation.

Fitting Notes

  • Fits petrol Waterboxer engines only

  • Suitable for DF, DG, SP, DJ and SR engine codes

  • Compatible with 2WD and Syncro models

  • Exhaust gaskets, clamps, and fixings are not included and should be renewed during installation

  • Always inspect adjoining exhaust components when fitting
