This stainless steel exhaust centre pipe connects the catalytic converter to the muffler on US-specification Volkswagen Type 25 / T3 buses built from 1986 to 1992, fitted with 2100cc MV or SS Waterboxer petrol engines. It is also suitable for SYNCRO models fitted with 2100cc SR or MV engine codes.

Fitted in the centre position of the exhaust system, this pipe forms the critical link between the catalytic converter and the front muffler section. Its role is to carry exhaust gases efficiently from the catalyst into the silencer while maintaining correct exhaust flow, noise control, and back pressure—essential for proper running of US-spec Waterboxer engines.
