This 94mm barrel and piston kit is a direct replacement set for 1.9 Waterboxer (WBX) engines fitted to VW Type 25 / T3 buses from 1983 to 1992. Designed for standard 69mm stroke engines, this kit restores correct compression, oil control, and bore sealing—ideal for engine rebuilds where the original barrels are worn, scored, or out of tolerance.

What this kit does (and why it matters)

Over time, piston rings lose tension, cylinder walls wear, and compression drops—leading to oil consumption, poor starting, and reduced power. Replacing pistons and barrels as a matched set ensures:

• Correct piston-to-bore clearances

How it works

Each piston runs inside a precision-machined 94mm barrel, converting combustion pressure into rotational force through the connecting rods and crankshaft. The supplied piston rings seal the combustion chamber, control oil on the cylinder walls, and transfer heat from the piston to the barrel—helping regulate operating temperatures and maintain engine longevity.
