Type 25 Metal Water Pipe - Water Pump To Right Cylinder Head - 1983-85 - 1900cc Waterboxer Engines

This steel coolant pipe is a direct replacement for the factory pipe fitted to early 1.9 Waterboxer engines in VW Type 25 (T25 / T3) vans built between 1982 and 1985. It runs from the thermostat housing to the right-hand (driver’s side on RHD models) cylinder head and plays a critical role in regulating coolant flow as the engine warms up.

As the thermostat opens, coolant is directed through this pipe into the right cylinder head, ensuring even temperature control and preventing localised overheating. Because this pipe sits low in the cooling system and is constantly exposed to heat cycles, moisture, and road contamination, original pipes often suffer from internal corrosion, thinning walls, and eventual leaks.

How it works
