Type 25 Water Hose Flange - Right Hand Cylinder Head - 1985-92 - Waterboxer - Stainless Steel

This stainless steel coolant pipe flange is a heavy-duty upgrade replacement for the original plastic flange fitted to the right-hand (driver’s side on RHD models) cylinder head on VW Type 25 (T25) Waterboxer engines from 1985 onwards. It provides the main outlet point for coolant leaving the cylinder head and connecting to the external coolant pipework.

Unlike factory plastic flanges, which are prone to cracking, warping, and becoming brittle with age and heat cycling, this stainless steel version offers exceptional durability and long-term reliability. It is ideal for vehicles used regularly, long-distance touring vans, or any Waterboxer engine where cooling system dependability is critical.

How it works

Coolant exits the right cylinder head through this flange and is directed into the cooling system, helping regulate cylinder head temperatures and maintain stable engine operation. A strong, leak-free flange at this point is essential to preserve cooling system pressure and prevent air ingress, which can lead to overheating.
