Type 25 Engine Water Bleeder Valve - 1900cc Waterboxer Engines

This replacement plastic coolant bleeder valve is used in the water-cooling system of Type 25 / T3 buses fitted with 1900cc petrol Waterboxer engines from 1983 onwards, starting at chassis number F-24-D-089 699. This is the correct manual-gearbox version.

On 1.9 Waterboxer engines, the bleeder valve sits at a high point in the cooling circuit and acts as a junction and air-bleed point. It allows trapped air to be purged from the system during filling and warm-up, helping ensure stable coolant circulation and preventing hot spots. With age, the original plastic valves can become brittle, crack around the hose outlets, or leak—often leading to coolant loss and persistent bleeding issues.
