Type 25 Pushrod Tube - Waterboxer, 1600cc (CT Engines)

This standard replacement pushrod tube is designed for 1900cc and 2100cc Waterboxer engines, as well as 1600cc aircooled CT engines, fitted to VW Type 25 / T3 buses. The pushrod tube forms a sealed passage between the crankcase and cylinder head, allowing the pushrod to operate the valve train while preventing engine oil leaks.

On Waterboxer and CT engines, the pushrod runs inside this tube, transferring motion from the cam follower to the rocker arm. The tube also channels returning oil back into the crankcase. A correctly sealing pushrod tube is essential to maintain oil pressure, keep the engine exterior clean, and prevent oil contamination of exhaust components.

Over time, original pushrod tubes can corrode, dent, or lose their sealing surface, leading to persistent oil leaks. This replacement tube is manufactured to original dimensions, ensuring proper fitment and correct seating of the sealing rings at both ends.
