Baywindow Bus Heat Exchanger To Heater Fan Hose Pipe - Type 4 Engines

This replacement heater connection pipe links the left hand (passenger side on RHD vehicles) heat exchanger to the flexible heater fan hose on all Type 4 aircooled engines. It was originally fitted to late Baywindow Buses from 1972 onwards and forms a key part of the factory heating and cooling airflow system.

Mounted on the left side of the engine when viewed from the rear of the Bus, this pipe acts as a rigid transition between the heat exchanger outlet and the heater fan hose. Its role is to carry heated air efficiently from the heat exchanger into the heater system, allowing warm air to be distributed to the cabin when the heating controls are engaged.
