US Spec Baywindow Bus CAT To Exhaust Cross Over Pipe Elbow - Type 4 Engines

This metal exhaust elbow is fitted on the left-hand side (passenger side on RHD vehicles) of all US specification Type 4 aircooled engines in 1700cc, 1800cc and 2000cc configurations. Its primary function is to connect the catalytic converter to the exhaust cross over pipe, forming a crucial link in the exhaust system on late Baywindow Buses.

The elbow is designed with precise bends and flanges to ensure correct exhaust gas flow from the catalytic converter into the rest of the exhaust system. By maintaining proper alignment and sealing between components, it helps prevent exhaust leaks, reduces unwanted noise, and ensures the exhaust system operates efficiently as intended by the factory.
