Right Hand Carburettor Bracket - Type 4 Engines

This metal carburettor support bracket is used to support the right-hand carburettor (driver’s side on RHD vehicles) on all VW Baywindow buses fitted with Type 4 aircooled engines, including 1700cc, 1800cc, and 2000cc variants. It is also fitted to aircooled Type 25 or T3 buses equipped with the 2000cc Type 4 engine.

The bracket plays a crucial role in supporting the weight of the carburettor and inlet manifold, reducing vibration and movement caused by engine operation. Without this support, excessive stress can be placed on the inlet manifold and carburettor mounting points, often leading to air leaks, cracked manifolds, unstable idle, and long-term running issues.

Manufactured as a genuine Volkswagen part, this right-hand bracket ensures correct factory fitment, strength, and durability. It mounts to the original fixing points exactly as intended by VW, making it ideal for restorations, engine rebuilds, or replacing missing or damaged brackets.
