Left Hand Carburettor Bracket - Type 4 Engines

This metal carburettor support bracket is used to support the left-hand carburettor (passenger side on RHD vehicles) on all VW Baywindow buses fitted with Type 4 aircooled engines, including 1700cc, 1800cc, and 2000cc variants. It is also fitted to aircooled Type 25 or T3 buses equipped with the 2000cc Type 4 engine.

The purpose of this bracket is to provide additional structural support to the carburettor and inlet manifold assembly, reducing vibration and stress caused by engine movement. Without correct support, the weight of the carburettor can place excessive load on the inlet manifold, leading to air leaks, cracked manifolds, poor idle, and inconsistent engine running over time.

Manufactured as a genuine Volkswagen part, this bracket offers correct factory fitment, strength, and durability. It aligns precisely with the original mounting points, ensuring the carburettor is properly supported as intended by VW.
