Baywindow Bus Air Hose Grommet - Left (Round) - Type 4 Engines

This round air hose grommet is designed to fit the left-hand air hose on Volkswagen Type 4 aircooled engines with capacities from 1700cc to 2000cc. It is used on Baywindow Buses manufactured from 1972 to 1979 and is also suitable for other Type 4–powered vehicles.

The grommet fits into the engine cylinder tinware where the left-hand round-ended air hose passes through. Its purpose is to support and protect the hose while sealing the opening in the tinware. By cushioning the hose against the metal edge, it prevents chafing, vibration damage, and air leaks that could otherwise reduce cooling system efficiency.
