CSP Type 4 Engine Pushrod Tube - Extra Long

These CSP long aluminium pushrod tubes are a top-quality performance upgrade for air-cooled Volkswagen Type 4 engines in 1700cc, 1800cc, and 2000cc form. Designed and manufactured by CSP using solid aluminium billet and state-of-the-art CNC machining, these pushrod tubes offer significantly tighter manufacturing tolerances than standard pressed or moulded tubes, resulting in superior fitment and sealing.

With an internal diameter of 20mm, these tubes provide generous clearance for the pushrod and ensure excellent oil return from the cylinder head back to the crankcase. This helps reduce oil pooling and contributes to improved long-term engine reliability, particularly in high-performance or regularly driven engines.

The long version design features two additional seal grooves, allowing the pushrod tube length to be tailored during installation. Depending on how many grooves are used or removed, the tube can be configured as 220mm, 214.5mm, or 209mm, making it suitable for a wide range of Type 4 engine builds and setups.

Externally, the tube profile provides extra clearance around exhaust manifolds, greatly simplifying the installation of large-diameter performance exhaust systems. An additional shoulder on the engine-case side allows easy removal of the tube by carefully levering it out using a 22mm open-ended spanner, making future maintenance far easier.

After machining, each tube is black anodised, providing excellent surface protection and a high-quality finish that resists corrosion and wear.
