Type 4 Pushrod Tube

This standard replacement pushrod tube is designed for all Volkswagen Type 4 air-cooled engines in 1700cc, 1800cc, and 2000cc form. It is suitable for Baywindow Buses, air-cooled Type 25 (T3) Buses, and Porsche 914 models fitted with Type 4 engines.

The pushrod tube houses and protects the pushrod as it runs between the lifter and the rocker arm, while also forming a sealed oil return path back to the crankcase. A damaged, corroded, or leaking pushrod tube can cause persistent oil leaks, contamination of the engine exterior, and loss of oil pressure over time.

This tube is zinc plated for improved corrosion resistance and long service life, making it a dependable replacement during engine rebuilds or when addressing oil leaks. It is manufactured to original dimensions to ensure correct fitment and proper sealing when used with the correct pushrod tube seals.

These pushrod tubes are sold individually, with eight required per engine.

Fitting Recommendation:
Whenever pushrod tubes are replaced, it is strongly recommended to install new pushrod tube seals to ensure a proper oil-tight seal:

• Small seal: 021109345A

• Large seal: 021109349B
