This complete connecting rod (big end) bearing set is designed for Volkswagen Type 4 air-cooled engines in 1700cc and 1800cc capacities, as fitted to Baywindow Buses from 1972 to 1975. It is also suitable for Porsche 914 models using equivalent Type 4 engines.
Connecting rod bearings form the critical interface between the crankshaft journals and the connecting rods.
