Black Rocker Cover - Type 4 Engines

These top quality reproduction rocker covers are designed as direct replacements for the original covers fitted to Volkswagen Type 4 engines. They are suitable for Baywindow Buses equipped with 1700cc, 1800cc, or 2000cc air-cooled engines, as well as Type 25 (T3) Buses fitted with the air-cooled 2000cc CU engine. They are also compatible with Porsche 914 models running Type 4 engines.

The rocker cover seals the valve gear area of the cylinder head, protecting the rocker arms and pushrod ends while containing engine oil. A properly sealing rocker cover is essential to prevent oil leaks, maintain correct oil circulation, and keep dirt and debris out of the valve train. Over time, original covers can become distorted, corroded, or damaged, leading to persistent oil leaks and poor gasket sealing.

Manufactured to closely match original specifications, these reproduction rocker covers offer a reliable sealing surface and correct fitment against the cylinder head when used with the appropriate gasket and retaining clip. They are ideal for routine maintenance, engine rebuilds, or replacement of tired originals to restore a clean, leak-free engine bay.

Each engine requires two rocker covers (one per cylinder head). These are sold individually, allowing you to replace a single damaged cover or purchase a full pair as required.
