This long spark plug connector is designed specifically for use on all Volkswagen Type 4 aircooled engines, including the 1700cc, 1800cc, and 2000cc variants. With an approximate length of 11cm, it ensures proper reach and secure connection to the spark plugs in tight or recessed engine bays.
The connector is commonly fitted to Baywindow Buses, early T25 (T3) models, Type 3s, and the Porsche 914 from January 1969 through February 1976. It is used on cylinders 2 and 4 of VW engines, where access is restricted, and on all cylinders of the Porsche 914, making it a crucial component for consistent ignition performance.
Made to OEM spec, this spark plug cap includes a durable internal resistor and reinforced rubber boot to resist heat and vibration, ensuring long service life even under tough engine bay conditions.
