Clutch Release Bearing Guide - All Models From 1970 Onwards

This clutch release bearing guide sleeve is designed for later-style Volkswagen gearboxes fitted from 1971 onwards, where the release bearing runs on a fixed guide tube rather than directly on the input shaft. It is used with pressure plates that do NOT have a centre pad, making it an essential component when converting or servicing later clutch systems.

Mounted on the gearbox input shaft housing, the guide sleeve ensures the clutch release bearing remains perfectly aligned during operation. A worn or damaged sleeve can cause rough clutch action, noise, premature bearing failure, or inconsistent clutch disengagement. Replacing this sleeve restores smooth, controlled movement of the release bearing and helps protect the clutch and gearbox components.

Manufactured to correct OE dimensions, this guide sleeve is ideal for gearbox rebuilds, clutch replacements, or when converting from an early-style clutch setup to the later guide-tube system.
