Mk2 LT Cam Follower (Hydraulic) - 1996-01 - 2.3 (AGL)

This hydraulic cam follower is a precision-engineered component for VW Mk2 LT vans produced between May 1996 and November 2001, fitted with the 2.3-litre petrol engine (AGL engine code). It is designed for use on both intake and exhaust valves, ensuring smooth and quiet valve operation across the entire rev range.

Measuring 24.1mm thick with an outer diameter of 35mm, this hydraulic tappet operates automatically using engine oil pressure to maintain zero valve clearance, eliminating the need for manual adjustment and reducing wear on camshaft lobes and valve stems.

These followers are installed directly between the camshaft and valve stem and are self-adjusting, allowing the engine to maintain peak performance and efficiency while reducing mechanical noise. A full set of 16 followers is required per engine and each is sold separately.

Replacing worn or noisy followers can significantly improve engine sound and function, especially on higher-mileage LT vans.
