CSP Products disc brake systems are the way to go! The real deal! The granddaddy of `em all! The 5×205 PCD versions are available since 1997 and of course made in Germany! They have passed the challenging TÜV examination and are subject to the CoP (Conformity of Production) test, meaning the brakes get checked on a regular basis to guarantee that they exactly match the specification and performance outlined in the type approval documentation!

Tremendous reliability, low unsprung weight and reduced revolving masses are the key features!

Based on the unmodified axle components of VW Type-3 or Karmann Ghia (Type-34) the CSP Products disc brakes are mounted to the original spindles by CNC machined adapters. There is no need to modify or alter the spindles, which makes it easy to swap back to the original drum brakes if requested.

The CSP disc brake is basically a hub/disc combination and its ingenious construction makes it applicable on every Type-3 or Type-34 Ghia with stock 5×205 PCD drum brakes. CNC machined, lightweight and heat-treated die-cast aluminium hubs accept discs made in Germany with a diameter of 282×9 mm through high-strength connecting elements. The modified floating calipers are also from a renowned mass production manufacturer.

Various sets are available, all matching Notchback, Squareback, Fastback and Razoredge Ghia: Solid discs and cross drilled solid discs, both also obtainable to match the two different (27 or 29 mm) inner wheel bearings.

Every kit contains CNC machined cast alloy hubs with rotors and wheel bearings installed, CNC machined caliper brackets, new calipers with pads, stainless steel grease caps, stainless steel dust covers (if applicable), brake hoses, all necessary mounting material, a TÜV certification and fitting instructions in English and German. You just have to purchase the wheel nuts and the master cylinder separately, based on the model of your Type-3 or Type-34.
