This double door is a superb driver, everything works properly. The Front seat needs to be reupholstered, and the cab floors need replacing but all the rest can give You thousands of hours of bus fun! On the look out for that new ad space for your company? The interior features its original Bench style seat. Original partition with original glass, both in good condition. Shift lock accessory with VW key. VDO tachometer clipped onto dash, not drilled. The wheels are original 15" bus that have been powdercoated to match the bumpers, all with powdercoated commercial hubcaps. Good tires 205/75/15. The gearbox features a 3.88 ring and pinion conversion on "big nut" tranny (drops RPMs by 500 allowing you to cruise at 60mph). The brakes are all good. The engine is a 1600 single port with bus (dished) pistons. Built for long trips (8-10 hour) to lessen chances of overheating. A 30 pict carb, 009 distributor, 12V generator and a Stock muffler for quietness. The engine is strong and a great runner. The Fuel tap / reserve works great. Also fitted is a Battery disconnect switch for security, One key does all the locks, the spare tire matches and rim is also powdercoated to boot. Featuring a Halogen blue headlight conversion (much brighter at night), Blue parking light (illuminates housing in blue to match bus at night) *illegal in U.S.* Bosch fog light, Barndoor dash grab handle added since it didn't have one to begin with. Looks cool. 12V wiper motor conversion, Seat belts in front. Cool rubber mat for the very rear cargo area. |
