Beetle 1966-1979 (Ball Joint) Complete Air Suspension Kit
These complete air suspension kits can be installed on any 1966-1979 Beetle with Ball Joint Front Suspension and Swing Axle Rear Suspension. Their are 2 different kits available from Cool Air.
The 2 valve kit allows you to lift the front of the vehicle up and down as well as lift the rear up and down. This kit is not designed for High horsepower cars or people who like to drive there vehicles fast. Reasoning for this is because the front end is tied together allowing the air to transfer from one side to the other. So when you try to turn one way or the other it will roll from side to side.
The other kit available is the 4 valve kit. This is the same as the 2 valve kit only there is 2 additional valves. This eliminates the tee's and allows the car to be adjusted by each wheel instead of just front or back you will be able to adjust the car from side to side. This is recommend for people who want better handling. No more sway, no more lean and you can adjust the car from side to side in case your "BIG" friend wants to come along.
Both Kits will require at least a 2" narrowed beam fitted on the front which can be bought seperately. You may also want to fit drop spindles on the front to get the car extra low and sitting on the floor.
PLEASE NOTE: WE RECOMEND THAT THE BODY IS REMOVED FROM THE CHASSIS TO INSTALL THIS KIT.
