This 1971 Westfalia is our newest arrival from California. It has it's original blue paintwork which requires a bit of a polish but is generally in good order. The underside is rust free but it requires a rear corner and some inner wings at the front. The interior is a beautiful Westfalia camping interior with a rock and roll bed, fridge (requires new exhaust vent) and sink. The pop top is in fully working order with a heavy duty rip and rot free canvas. Inside the pop top is a fully working single bed.
And now for something a little different!
This van has been fitted with a Gene Berg 1776cc engine. It has twin carbs and external oil cooler with an electric fan and also a deep sump. It runs excellently and pulls like a train. It has been fitted with Heavy Duty Anti-roll Bars both front and rear to keep it firmly on the ground in those fast corners. Inside the cab area is a Tachometer that is built into the dash and an oil temperature gauge sitting just below it. And what Gene Berg powered bus wouldn't be complete without his world renowned shifter, it's all there.
Being a 1971 this bus is a sort after model. It is UK Tax Exempt due to it's age and features all of the early model features (rounded bumpers, low front indicators, etc..). It has Servo assisted disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear.
