This car is an original Karmann Ghia from the UK. It has not been imported. It has had a few bits of work carried out on it over the past couple of years. The front headlights have been replaced for new due to bad reflectors in the originals, new headlamp bowls have been welded in aand a new headlamp surround welded in on the drivers side. It has also had some welding done around the bonnet sill going into the bonnet.
A large 5 stud disc brake conversion has also been fitted to the front giving better braking than the original drum set up.
The floorpan is solid as is most of the bodywork. There are a few bubbles in the paintwork around the wheel arches and the drivers side sill will need some attention. The front bumper retainer (where it meets the bodywork under the drivers headlight) is rusty. Apart from all of these little bits the car seems very solid.
It starts on the button and stops as it should. It is a good driver and comes with a full 12 months MOT. |
