The Maxi Pump 3 (26mm) was designed to solve oil flow and cooling problems on VW Beetles and vans.
It provides a way to operate your engine `Full Flow` without the inconvenience and cost of drilling and tapping your engine case as in old style `Full Flow` systems.
Maxi Pump 3 fits between your engine case and the rear mount and provides both outlet and inlets for unrestricted oil flow.

Yes this pump will allow the oil to flow back into the sump depending on the height you mount the oil cooler and gravity doing its work. When filling your engine with oil you should make sure the engine is cold and then fill to the dipstick max line. Therefore your sump will not be over filled. As long as your cooler is kept to a sensible distance then even when the engine is running you should not see oil starvation in the case. If in doubt however then we would suggest you fit a deep sump which will increase your oil capacity.
you will need to cut and weld the rear engine brace. Since writting this we now offer Baywindow Bus Easy Flow Pumps which are designed to fit Buses without modification to the rear engine brace.
