Tru-Arc Gudgeon Pin Retainers - For 22mm Thick Gudgeon Pins

Heavy-duty Tru-Arc gudgeon pin retaining clips designed for high performance aircooled Volkswagen engines using 22mm wrist pins. These upgraded piston pin retainers are a direct replacement for standard circlips and are specifically designed to cope with the increased loads and high RPM conditions found in performance and racing engines.

The gudgeon pin retaining clips secure the piston pin within the piston and prevent sideways movement that could cause catastrophic engine damage. On high revving engines, standard retaining clips can potentially distort or fail under extreme conditions, allowing the gudgeon pin to contact the cylinder wall.

These Tru-Arc style clips provide improved retention strength and reliability, making them ideal for performance engines fitted with upgraded pistons from manufacturers such as Mahle and NPR.

Suitable for all 22mm piston pins fitted to later aircooled Volkswagen engines excluding early 25HP and 30HP applications.
