Beetle Gearbox Mounting Bolt - Swing Axle Models
Part Number: 111301257
Replacement rear gearbox cradle mounting bolt for aircooled Volkswagen Swing Axle models. This heavy-duty bolt is used to secure the rear gearbox cradle to the frame horns on the chassis and is an essential fixing for correctly mounting the transmission assembly.
Designed for use on all Swing Axle Beetles and Karmann Ghias fitted with the early style rear gearbox cradle, these bolts provide secure mounting between the cradle and chassis frame horns, helping stabilise the gearbox and engine assembly under load.
Over time original bolts can become corroded, stretched, damaged or rounded during gearbox removal and installation. Replacing worn mounting hardware helps ensure correct alignment and secure mounting of the rear transmission support system.
Two bolts are required per vehicle to install the rear gearbox cradle.
This bolt is not suitable for IRS rear suspension models unless an early style cradle and mounting arrangement has been retrofitted.
